The first Nascar race of the season, daffodils are blooming, and I am really beginning to feel like spring is upon us.

Day 41-43 "Catching Up Again"

Once again I'm running late. Please forgive me I've been lost in 18th century Scotland for the past few days. "Outlander" should come with a warning label stating you will spend every free moment you have with your nose stuck in the book. I managed to pull myself away this evening to dump my memory card and upload my pics.

My youngest son, Cole, went to bed with a full head of hair Tuesday and I woke up to this mess Wednesday morning. I keep most of the scissors put up but he does have access to his school scissors which I thought were too dull to do any damage. As you can see from his hair I was VERY wrong. I have no idea what possessed him to get up in the middle of the night to cut his hair.

What do you when its eleven p.m. and you realize that you haven't taken your 365 photo yet? Well my first thought was to find a family member and snap a quick photo but no such luck since my dc and dh were fast asleep. I wracked my brain over what I could take a photo of and I suddenly remembered the daffodils that were beginning to grow along the back porch. I am sure I looked quite silly in my PJ's taking pictures of flowers in the backyard in the middle of the night. Thank goodness for the acre or two of land between the road and our house. I got a shot that I liked but it was a bit boring. So I added a little texture and contrast boosting and I have a semi interesting photo for the day. Tomorrow I believe I'll start taking photos in the morning so I don't have to do this again.

Day 28 *Nature Walk*

One of our assignments for school today was to take a walk and bird watch. Now before we went outside there were birds everywhere but wouldn't you know as soon as we stepped out the door there were none to be found. Oh well maybe tomorrow we will have better luck. We did have a nice walk though and I took about 60 photos. I didn't choose any photos with my kiddos in them for today's photo because those will probably be scrapped separately. While that narrowed the pool down drastically I am going to cheat today and share four photos. I just couldn't settle on a favorite.

It is crazy that we got snow last week and this bush is getting buds on it already. Oh, but it makes me long for the warmer weather and beauty of spring that is lurking just around the corner.
