Day 29 *Daffodil Bud*

What do you when its eleven p.m. and you realize that you haven't taken your 365 photo yet? Well my first thought was to find a family member and snap a quick photo but no such luck since my dc and dh were fast asleep. I wracked my brain over what I could take a photo of and I suddenly remembered the daffodils that were beginning to grow along the back porch. I am sure I looked quite silly in my PJ's taking pictures of flowers in the backyard in the middle of the night. Thank goodness for the acre or two of land between the road and our house. I got a shot that I liked but it was a bit boring. So I added a little texture and contrast boosting and I have a semi interesting photo for the day. Tomorrow I believe I'll start taking photos in the morning so I don't have to do this again.

Day 28 *Nature Walk*

One of our assignments for school today was to take a walk and bird watch. Now before we went outside there were birds everywhere but wouldn't you know as soon as we stepped out the door there were none to be found. Oh well maybe tomorrow we will have better luck. We did have a nice walk though and I took about 60 photos. I didn't choose any photos with my kiddos in them for today's photo because those will probably be scrapped separately. While that narrowed the pool down drastically I am going to cheat today and share four photos. I just couldn't settle on a favorite.

It is crazy that we got snow last week and this bush is getting buds on it already. Oh, but it makes me long for the warmer weather and beauty of spring that is lurking just around the corner.

Day 27 *Progress*

My youngest son, Cole, has an absolute aversion to writing within the lines. No matter how often we explain to him that he has to write neatly so others are able to read his work, he still seems to think those lines are only there as mere suggestions. This morning he finally decided to try out this whole neat writing thing(his words) and this photo is of one of his completed assignments. While it is not perfect I am so glad to see him progressing towards better penmanship.

Day 25 *Lazy Sunday*

Nothing too exciting today just a photo of my husband and my youngest son watching TV in our room this evening. Last night's late bedtimes combined with the gray dreary day outside made for one lazy Sunday. We didn't do much of anything other than watch movies and play a little Wii.

Day 24 *On The Ocoee*

I'm running late. I took a ton of photos yesterday and I had quite a hard time choosing just one. We stopped by a local river on our way home from lunch yesterday and got quite a few shots. That evening my husband's father and cousin showed up to play a little music.


Needless to say with company to entertain and this little jam session going on until midnight last night I didn't find the time to upload let alone process my photos. So they are a day late in posting but at least I did take them on time:). Without further ado here is my photo for day 24.

Hope got in trouble this evening and sneaked into our room to call her Grandma. I saw where she was headed and so I did a little sneaking of my own with my camera in tow. I managed to snap a photo of her on the phone before she even realized I was in the room.

Day 21 *Shadow*

Our pitbull, Shadow, taking a nap this evening when we let him in the house for a little while.
I just want to thank everyone for the comments in the past couple of days. Things have been really busy around here and I haven't had much time to read/return comments. I'm going to try set aside some time tomorrow to do so.

Cole went out to play in the snow this evening and I think he ate more snow than he played with. One of our dogs, Baby , kept jumping up on him trying to figure out what he was eating.

We finally received our first snow of the season and while it wasn't much more than a light dusting I still had to get a photo. The trampoline(above) was covered in it and so were the porches and much of the yard.

My husband's cousin called the other day to tell him she found a old song book of his while doing some early spring cleaning. I've been reading through this notebook of songs my hubby wrote as a teen all evening and figured it would be the perfect photo for today.

Well this shot is late but I did take it last night. I had a horrible headache yesterday that kept me down and out most of the day. Luckily, I snapped this photo when I went to check the mail yesterday. I'm not thrilled with it but at least I remembered to get a photo :).

One of my goals for the new year was to break my mountain dew habit and drink more water. So far I had only been able to cut back my MD intake but today I made it through a whole day without a single can.
